Midnight blue. Unplanned evenings. A little adventure.
For the anticipation of stepping out. For the invitation you didn’t expect. Uomo is the Vittorio expression of adventure, captured in midnight navy and gold.
Bright bergamot and cardamom open into cedarwood and vetiver, wrapped in the warmth of amber.
THE NOTES / AN ITALIAN JOURNEY
01 / Top note
Bergamot
Bright · Green · Bittersweet
The brightness of citrus peel, with a green, gently bitter edge. Bergamot gives the opening its lift: crisp and luminous, with a subtle floral softness beneath the zest.
ITALIAN INSPIRATION / CALABRIA
Around Reggio Calabria, bergamot has a landscape of its own. The area's protected essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruit, preserving the bright character held in its peel. Our Italian image begins there: a rind opening beneath your thumb, a sharp breath of citrus, the afternoon suddenly feeling lighter.
Crack a green pod and the impression is both cool and warm: aromatic, gently spicy, almost camphoraceous. Cardamom brings movement to the citrus opening and an intimate warmth as the woody notes come forward.
ITALIAN INSPIRATION / VENEZIA · RIALTO
Cardamom belongs to Venice's story of arrivals. Palazzo Mocenigo's perfume museum names it among the spices that reached the Rialto market through eastern trade. Imagine that small pod travelling across water, carrying a whole landscape in its scent. For us, its warmth holds the excitement of a city meeting the wider world.
Think of the clean scent of a freshly sharpened pencil and the grain of dry wood. Cedarwood gives Uomo its structure, with a quiet, woody clarity that lets the spice and citrus remain distinct.
ITALIAN INSPIRATION / LAGO DI COMO
At Villa Carlotta on Lake Como, a Lebanon cedar belongs to the garden's botanical collection. It offers an Italian setting for our cedarwood story: branches overhead, pale gravel underfoot, a glimpse of water through the trees. The feeling is quiet and grounded, like finding a shaded place to stay a little longer.
An earthy woody impression, recalling dry grass, roots and a trace of smoke. Vetiver adds a darker shade beneath the cedarwood, balancing the brighter notes with a grounded, textured finish.
ITALIAN INSPIRATION / FIRENZE
In Florence, this aromatic root from a tropical grass has a place in the perfumer’s palette. Its woody, smoky character suggests a quieter Italy to us: the garden after watering, earth cooling beneath terracotta pots, an open window as the heat finally leaves the day.
Amber is an accord: a warm, rounded scent impression built from complementary notes. Its balsamic softness smooths the dry woods, drawing the composition together with a gentle glow.
ITALIAN INSPIRATION / ROMA
Roman perfumery gives amber a rich, resinous language, pairing its warmth with incense and myrrh. That art of composing warmth inspires our Italian image for this accord: a Roman doorway at dusk, the last light caught on old stone, and a conversation you keep finding reasons to prolong.
